A New Organic Fertiliser Dubbed “Begreen” To Increase Farmers Yield and Disease Resistance Launched in Kumasi

The product, manufactured in Switzerland has been in Ghana for the past three years changing and supporting various farm groups and helping sustain and promote Ghana’s flagship programme, One District, One Factory.
The product is said to increase the number of buds, flowers and fruits. The nutrients in Begreen- F causes considerable increase in the numbers of cell and cell walls producing cellulose, which influences the taste of the crop. The organic liquid fertilizer is produces from organically grown plants to provide nutrients for faster and healthy growth of plant. Despite being in Ghana for just three years, the product was adjudged one of the eat three fertilizers in the country by COCOBOD last year.
It followed the official launch of the most sought-after Begreen-F (Fertiliser) by it’s Africa representative, Eco Index Agro Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Strategic Security Systems Group Limited on Wednesday in Kumasi. The organic liquid fertilizer is produces from organically grown plants to provide nutrients for faster and healthy growth of plant.
The Regional chief farmers have shifted focus to the use of organic fertilizer to promote food safety, increase yield and enhance general agriculture practice in Ghana. The Chairman of Strategic Security Systems Group Limited, Dr Francis Akuamoah Boateng, said the introduction of the product was to discourage the use of chemicals which were injurious to human health. He disclosed that, he was introduced to the fertilizer by a friend in Vietnam while on a business trip and followed it up to the manufacturer in Switzerland to strike the deal.
A scientist and the Managing Director of Eco Index Agro Solutions Limited, Dr Emmanuel Moses, said a lot of farmers lives were deteriorating because of the chemicals they inhale which needed to be discouraged. He described  Begreen fertiliser as purely natural and friendly to human and encouraged  farmers to patronised to reduce  health related complications in using other fertilizers.
The National Chief Farmer, Alhaji Alhassan Bukari, said the fertiliser gives higher quality products and plant resistance against disease and pests. He said it was suitable for all kinds of plants especially vegetables.
